A real live painting on canvas! Style a la Juliette Crane, but not as flowing and working from the soul like she does amazingly. I'm still learning to let go.
A little book/journal that I altered and filled with a variety of papers for art journaling. The Native American book label was my father's, so this little book is special to me.
Bingo Baby! My son, Cade Maverick, goofin' off on the regular. This was made with my favorite, Sassafras Lass papers and embellishments. Of course that company is closed now and I am hoarding the rest of my supplies from them. :( The child clown/jester is from Stampington.com by Sandra Evertson, and is one of a collection of fabulous stamps. Thanks for checking it out! See ya soon!
This is a mixed media creation on stretched canvas. I used sewing patterns for the first layer to add interest and texture, then painted over it, inked it, stamped it and added ephemera (not necessarily in that order!).
This mini album showcases when I bought my home in San Marcos Texas in 2001. It's a bit cheeky, and I love working with scrapbooking lines that allow me to use whimsy and color. Thanks for looking! Y'all come back soon, now ya' hear?! :)
Here is a dual page spread in my big ass moleskin. I mean this baby is GRANDE! At 1 ft wide and 16 inches tall, and twice that wide open, you have to be pretty motivated to undertake an art spread of this size for an art journal project. Anyway, I love bright, happy, sassy colors like this! Hope you enjoy as well! Toodles
Hello and welcome! My name is Dawn Perkins, or MojoDawn, as I am known in creative circles and most social media channels.
Come in, kick off your shoes, and peruse my artistic endeavors awhile. I'd offer you some hot cocoa, but I don't want to get any on the computer screen. :)
